Willem Stuurman Zenith plate Afsluitdijk 1933

Other: model 524. This number is missing from the known set of of design drawings of the models designed by Willem Stuurman for the “reliëf” series, early 1930’s. Number 525 and 526 are also plates, with seagulls. Thís plate was issued for the first tour organized on the Afsluitdijk, that was officially completed on September 25th of 1933. Possibly this refers to the tour that was made on April 1st by the K.N.A.C., a “Wimpeltocht”. On the back there is an unglazed stripe where people that received the plate could write their name.
We have not been able to find a second example of this plate. We assume there were not made many of them.
