Extra: The ceramic production of what we call Poterie d’Accolay is very diverse. The company consisted of a group of 4 former students of Alexandre Kostanda: André Boutaud, Louis Dangon, Slavic Paley and Raude. In 1945 they started out by making ceramic buttons, after an initial order by Christian Dior, that became a huge success. Under the artistic leadership of the four, up to 60 people were working for Poterie d’Accolay in the late 1950’s and the 1960’s. The production stopped in 1975.
